Joan Dick-Maudsley

November 13, 1927 - February 17, 2024

We are saddened to announce that on Saturday February 17, 2024, our Mother passed away peacefully. Predeceased by the love of her life Bill. Years later she married Murray and moved North for a few years. But the call of Port was too strong and back she came. Left to mourn her are her daughter Lore (Sue), son Kevin (Nancy), and daughter-in-law Karen (Jerry predeceased). She will be missed by her grandchildren Dennis, Kelly, Kelsey, Kristie, Ashley and Connor and their children. She will be greatly missed by her sister Trisha Nicol, (predeceased by her sister Shirley Howard) and will be missed by their families. She will be missed by her lifelong Port friend Wilma Howard and sister-in-law Gloria Dick. Special thanks to her PSW Sandy and especially Karen Schneider for all her love and support.

Joan was a lifetime member of the Henley Island Helpers, St. John's Anglican Church, The Out of the Cold Program and Meals on Wheels. She loved spending time with family, swimming in the pool, cross-country skiing at the Rowing Club and playing cards.

If you so wish donations may be made to St. John's Church (General Fund). Funeral arrangements are entrusted to George Darte Funeral home and a Celebration of Joan's life will be held at a later date.
