Savarie, Elizabeth Marie (Betty)

Surrounded by her boys, Betty Savarie passed peacefully in her 80th year on Monday, February 26th, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, and more recently, breast cancer.  Betty was predeceased by her husband of 48 years (Roger) and her eldest son (Rick) and is survived by her three other boys Guy (Christine) Savarie, Dan Savarie, Dave (Adele) Savarie, and her daughter-in-law Lori (Rick), along with grandsons Christopher, Chasse, Zachary, Samuel, Ryder, Benjamin and Max, and granddaughters Rochelle, Shanna and Molly.  It has been a long goodbye to our matriarch.  We all look back in gratitude for the joy she brought into all of our lives.  We truly will miss her sense of humour, kind heart, and candor, the latter of which was also, unintentionally at times, a source of humour for all of us.  Always loved and never to be forgotten. 

Funeral service 1pm Monday, March 4th, 2024 at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines.  Visitation prior to the funeral service from 11:00am to 1:00pm also at George Darte Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
