I'm shocked to have learned just today (March 30th) of Joe's passing. I spent a lot of time with Joe back in the '80's when I first got into amateur radio. Joe was a great mentor and friend. Although I haven't seen him in many years, I did speak to him on the phone perhaps a year and half ago just to say Hello and get caught up. He was a great person. My condolences to his wife Angela. I found Joe to be such a patient professional individual when we worked on files on which we had retained him for his knowledge, his thoroughness and his expertise in his field. Some how (its just who Joe was) he'd get me to where I understood sufficiently what I needed to understand to carry out my role. He is a loss to our industry and will be missed. To his adoring wife he is a treasure she will never replace, and I send my my deepest condolences. May he rest gently in the arms of the Angels. Sandi.....

I have very great sadness in my heart and for all those who came in contact with Joe since we won't be able to share in more of the fun and joy he brought, such great cherished memories! I met Joe in 2004 learning to scuba dive and becoming PADI certified in Cuba. We were close friends since then, him helping me with HVAC issues with my rental properties and my helping him regarding various commercial and residential real estate. But besides that, I was his confidante from the moment we met to the last moments of his life. You will be missed Joe, God rest your soul.

I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Joe the summer I started rowing in 1968. We traded either bow or coxie in the Junior 135 8+. It was a draw. Since then the friendship continued, albeit at a distance, our paths crossing on occaision. Always remembered. Let 'r run. Brian and Chris Thorne

My sincere condolences to Angela and Joe's family, friends and coworkers. I work at Origin and Cause and met Joe when he started with the company about ten years ago. Joe was a lovely soul, quick with a smile and a story. He clearly had a zest for life in him with his many interests in many areas. I tried to learn to scuba dive with Joe a few years back. I had the privilege of working with Joe on occasion while he was with TSSA, Enbridge, and finally Origin and Cause. I always valued and appreciated his knowledge and expertise on so many things. I knew Joe as gentleman nieghbor. He had a ready smile and was quick to offer help. He spoke of his investigation carreer with great pride. His love for Angela was obvious when he spoke of her. Rest in peace joe.
