Obituary of Irena Gorecki

January 2, 1935 - March 7, 2024

God called Irena home peacefully on March 7, 2024 at the age of 89. 

Predeceased by her late husband Władysław. Cherished by her dear children, Ryszard (Krystyna) and Tomasz. Proud and loving Babcia to Tomek (Amanda), Kasia, Alyssa (Matthew) and Peter, and Pra Babcia to Malina and Ellis.

Born in Wolownia Poland and immigrated to Canada, Irena dedicated her life to her family. Irena was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliaries of The Royal Canadian Legion. 

Her strength, selflessness and unconditional love was admired by all. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family and relatives.

The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at Darte Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
