Pawlik, Cecilia Antonia (nee Bodurka)
It is with great sorrow that our mother, Cecilia, (known as Stella) passed away on Saturday, March 9th, 2024. She was the daughter of John and Helen Bodurka, to whom she was eternally grateful; for the hardships they endured to provide their children with a good life in Canada.
Cecilia was born in New Waterford, Cape Breton, N.S. she was one of three girls Jennie Jurus (Stephen), Alexandria Kempner (Andrew) and also an adopted brother ,who was actually her cousin from Poland, Staszele Bodurka.
After graduating from the Commercial Department of the St. Catharines Collegiate, her first secretarial skills began at London Life Insurance, thereafter Canadian Comstock and finally Denis Morris High School.
Cecilia married the love of her life, John Pawlik, a man that possessed exceptional qualities. They had three wonderful children Lucia, the late Carla and Janek and blessed with one grandson Gavin Pawlik.
Cecilia and her family continue to be blessed with exceptional family members. This includes the Pawlik, Jurus, Kempner, Jewula and Bodurka families.
