Obituary of John Herman DeLine

DeLine, John Herman - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 30th, 2012 at Chateau Gardens at the age of 88. Beloved and devoted husband of Margaret for 68 years. Cherished father of Karen (the late Dr. William) Kushniruk, Diane (Frank) MacIntyre, the late John Robert DeLine (Ina), Tom (Linda) DeLine, Jim (Lin) DeLine, and Teresa (Graham) Cochrane. Loving Grandfather to his 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Special brother of Reta, Morris, Ernie, Harry and Frank. He is predeceased by his sisters Margaret and Gladys and his brothers Harold and Ron. John was employed by several transport companies before retiring in 1988. He had a passion for refurbishing antique cars especially his beloved Fords. His true love was his family. The family wish to extend a sincere thank you to all the nurses and staff of Chateau Gardens Nursing Home for all their care and compassion. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday (Today) from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Vincent de Paul Church; 73 Picton Street, Niagara on the Lake on Wednesday at 11a.m. Rite of Committal at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
