Obituary of Captain William Eric Guy

GUY William Eric Captain; Passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, September 25th, 2012 at 84 years of age. Beloved husband of Maisie for 57 years. Cherished and devoted father of Diane (James Dodgson) and Robert. William will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. William was predeceased by his parents Captain Simeon and Alethea Guy and his brothers John and Spencer. Captain Guy saw a lot of the world including Europe and Africa while steadily working towards his goal of becoming a Master Mariner like his Dad. He joined Misener in 1950 serving 37 years with this company on the Great Lakes. In 1986 he was appointed as Commodore Captain William E. Guy retiring in 1987. William was a long time member of the Niagara Masonic Lodge #2.Cremation and a private blessing of the cremated body has taken place. Our family wish to thank the staff of the Juravinski Hospital, Hospice Niagara and the Canadian Home Care Association for their compassion and guidance during this difficult time.
