Survived by his brother Phil (Mary) Sheehan, and sister-in-law Helen Peacock. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Larry was a man of great faith and a generous gentleman who would do everything possible for his family and loved ones. He had a fabulous sense of humour right to the end. Throughout his life he was actively involved in his community being a member of the Jaycees, Kinsmen Club, The Gyro Club and Knights of Columbus. Larry was ‘all things music’. He truly enjoyed being involved as a member of A Cappella Niagara and in his younger years a member of The Merritton Grenadiers. Upon retirement from True Temper (Welland Vale Manufacturing in St. Catharines and Quebec) Larry continued to enjoy his love of numbers and finance by teaching accounting at Niagara College. He established ELJAY Consulting and he spent many years working at Hamilton Boiler Works amongst others. He was a sports enthusiast, steadfast and loyal fan of the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills (GO BILLS).
Thank you to Dr. Bernhard Volz for his many years of kind support and care shown to Dad. Thank you also to the nursing staff of NHS-Floor 4A, especially Andrea (palliative care). We will be forever grateful for the compassion and kindness shown to our family by the Hospice Niagara family.
The family will receive friends at St. Julia Roman Catholic Church, 251 Glenridge Avenue on Tuesday, April 23rd from 10am. Funeral Mass to follow at 11am.
Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, any memorial donations to Hospice Niagara in Larry’s honour would be greatly appreciated by the family.
