Obituary of Pauline Swirski
SWIRSKI, Pauline (Chyplik)
September 28, 1924-September 22, 2012
Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, September 22, 2012.
Predeceased by her husband William, sister Lena and brother William.
Dear mother of Cathy (Bruce) Buchanan, Patti (John) Anderson and Nick (Marlene) Swirski.
Loving "Ma/Grandma" to grandchildren Sherri (Derek) Barlow, Jamie (Erika) Buchanan, Ryan and Kayla Buchanan, Jacob Anderson, and Zachary and Jenna Swirski, and great grandchildren Jordan, Kennedi and Autumn.
Also survived by her sister Anne Karlechuk of Windsor.
Pauline was a long and active member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed gardening.
Special thanks to her wonderful friends Jane and Mike, John, Mike, and Marlene and Rich, who gave real meaning to the word "neighbours". Also, thanks to her friends Emily and Helen who drove her to church and on errands which somehow always ended up at "Timmy's", and to the staff at Tufford Manor who made her short stay so enjoyable. Many thanks to the ICU staff, Dr. Tatzel, Dr. Tsang, Dr. H. Kim, Dr. Sam and Dr. M. Hollidge.
Mrs. Swirski's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, September 25th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Panachyda will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7pm. A private family graveside burial will take place at a later date.
If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Pauline
