Obituary of Bernice Nicholson
NICHOLSON, Bernice-
Imagine -
Stepping on shore
And finding it Heaven...
Of touching a hand
And finding it God's...
Of breathing new air
And finding it celestial...
Of waking up in glory
And finding it HOME!
Evelyn Bernice Nicholson stepped onto that shore Friday, November 30th, 2012 from Linhaven.
She was the loved daughter of the late Bill and Gladys Robertson, and sister of the late Helen Jones; Beloved wife of the late Boyd, wonderful mom to Cathie (Bob) Cretney, Jabe (Louise) and Bill (the late Rona).
She made a lasting and loving impression on her 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
†œHer children rise up and call her blessed† (Proverbs 31:28).
Bernice travelled extensively with Boyd, but took a great interest in Africa. She founded the Women†™s Missionary Work Class at Brockview Bible Chapel, where she faithfully attended. Many packages of food and clothing were sent to mission stations each month, to be distributed among the Africans.
Mom had a real heart for them.
Bernice's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday, December 4th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and on Wednesday, December 5th at Brockview Bible Chapel, 326 Pelham Rd. from 10-11 a.m., with the service following at 11 a.m. Burial in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to the Women†™s Missionary Work Class or to Uplook Ministries would be appreciated by the family.
