I have been blessed to work in the same store as Mike. Though we weren’t in the same department, his knowledge allowed for him to help me and others any time we needed help. Mike was never miserable, he always came to work with a positive attitude.
God Bless Mike, thank you for everything.

Sincerest condolences to the Cabras family.
Mike had a knack for making friends with those in need of one. I was one such kid in elementary and high school. I never heard him say a mean word about anyone; nor ever heard a bad word said about him. He was truly a gift to the world, a perfect example of how to treat others, and will be sorely missed.
Though we lost touch over time, I am forever grateful for the memories. Nostalgia of birthdays, pool parties, sleep-overs, soccer games and billiards flooded me when I heard this news. RIP Michael.

Mike was a kind man and was known to everyone who worked with him as a gentle giant. To me he was a true gentleman and it always showed through his everyday actions. I would come in for my shift to price changes and signs already changed over and if there was anything heavy to lift he would say "Jackie leave that for me". His kindness was unmatched and our days will not be the same without him. Mike you will never be forgotten and will always live in our hearts. May your soul rest in peace.

We are all so very saddened to lose Mike. I've had the pleasure of working with Mike for 15 years, and have come to know him quite well. Whether it be as a co-worker, or just chatting at a social event, he was always the same guy. Generous, kind, intelligent and funny will be just a few ways I will fondly remember him. He always had such interesting things to say. Whether it be history, politics, or music, you knew he'd be up to chat about it. Or, his passion would really come out if the topic of coins came up. If you worked a shift with Mike, there would be a 60 pack of Timbits appear in our back room. 5 for Mike, 55 for the rest of us along with his trademark thumbs up, and a, "right on." To the whole Cabras family, please know Mike will be missed by all who knew him.

We were saddened to learn that Michael had passed. Patrick and Michael went to school together at St.Ann's and St.Francis. Michael attended Patrick's birthday parties. I remember going on class trips as a chaperon with Marie. There were very nice memories of Michael. Reading what others have said about him he became a kind and caring person but that does not surprise because he was the same as the child I knew. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mike was one of the few people who I had the opportunity of starting at Lococos with. He always brought a kind smile & positive attitude to our store, one I will greatly miss. Mike was such a hard worker, willing to help anyone and do anything for his coworkers and customers. I’ll forever miss our early opening mornings together, the 20-pack of timbits he’d buy for me and my brother after a busy morning, but most of all, I’ll miss popping my
head into the produce office to say bye to him. Our store will never be the same without Mike, may he rest in peace.

Thank you Mike for forever being one of the kindest people I have ever met.
Mike was my co worker for seven years and someone who always exuded confidence.
A person to look up to and admire as one of those that knew what they were doing in this world, or made it look that way- and was a very positive role model for those that worked under him.
Even though he worked in a neighboring department I always considered him someone I could go to when I needed assistance, and whenever we ran into one another it was always with kind words and pleasantries.
Everyday when I'd see him he always acknowledged and asked how I was and I will always remember how he took the time to care about others and make them feel seen and noticed even if he was flooded with work and his own daily struggles.
My condolences to his family and those closest to him.

Words can not express the sadness that we are all feeling from this tragic loss. Mike was one of the kindest and sweetest human beings that we all had the pleasure to know and work with. His compassionate demeanour and calm approach will always be something I admire & strive to emulate going forward. Lococos will never be the same without our Gentle Giant. Hope everything is “sweet” in heaven Mike.

Mike was my coworker, mentor and lastly he was my friend. He taught me how to be a professional and how to carry yourself as one, values I use this day working with people. He was always good to take to about anything and was super compassionate during the times I was struggling and got me to see the bright side of things even though I didn’t feel it at the time. Something that Mike taught me and carry about my persona life. He was fantastic guy and someone who I looked up in literally every sense. We all miss you, Mike. Rest in Peace, my friend, you will be dearly missed by all who knew you.
