Obituary of Dennis Paul Jackson
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis Jackson at the age of 88. Dennis was the loving husband of the late Cecelia Jackson. He is survived by his cherished children: Mark, Lisa, Laura (Michael), Susannah (Greg), Danny (Lisa), and Missy (Jeff). Dennis was a proud and caring Grandpa Den/Papa Den to Jimmy, River, Grace, Joseph, Richard, Danielle, Spencer, Carter, and Sydney, and a boastful great-grandfather to Finnley, Jude, Greyson, and an eagerly awaited great-grandbaby expected in October 2024. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Erie and Paul Jackson.
Dennis was a soft, sweet, and gentle man whose life was marked by deep love and devotion. His bond with his wife Cecelia was profound, and together they lived their lives grounded in their faith.
Dennis's love for children was evident in every aspect of his life. He dedicated his career to teaching and continued to make an impact even after retirement as a crossing guard and a guitar instructor for the children in his church. His involvement in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immense joy and fulfillment.
An active member of his church, Dennis's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He not only participated in church activities but also shared his musical talent by playing the guitar, often alongside a group of fellow church musicians.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Dennis enjoyed watching and discussing various sports, a pastime that brought him great pleasure.
Dennis's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to his family, faith, and community will forever be remembered. His gentle spirit and warm heart touched all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at The church of the Good Shepherd in St.Catharines at 677 Niagara St. on Tuesday, June 11th at 1:00pm. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Children Believe in Dennis's memory.
Dennis will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His life and love leave a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Dennis is now reunited with his beloved wife Cecelia in heaven, where they will continue their journey together in eternal peace.
