Obituary of Patricia Marlynne Molnar
MOLNAR-Patricia Marlynne It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Patricia Molnar (formally Robertson-nee LaFlamme) in her 82nd year. Our mother’s health declined significantly in recent weeks, and after several difficult days she drew her last breath on Thursday May 30, 2024, with her children and grandchildren by her side. As heartbroken as we all are, the relief that she is no longer struggling brings us tremendous comfort and peace. Patricia is survived by her children Nancy (Ron) van der Zalm, Tammy (Kenan) Robertson-Tchaouch and Greg (Gabi) Molnar. She is also survived by the absolute lights of her life and greatest sources of joy–her Grandchildren; Ben, Sam, Megan, Genna and Geoffrey. Our mother will also be missed by many life-long friends, her beloved extended family in Hamilton, as well as her step-daughter Lucy (Charlie) Hyndman in Michigan. Patricia is predeceased by her devoted husband of 46 years, Fred Molnar, and by her first husband, Richard Robertson, who died tragically in 1971. She is also predeceased by her parents, Paul and Marguerite LaFlamme, as well as her sister Cheryl LaFlamme. Our mother will be remembered as an incredibly funny woman! Her profound sense of humor and quick wit were what drew people to her. She was also very family oriented and treasured family gatherings or any occasion that brought us all together. Our mother will also be remembered for her delicious home cooked meals, her love of dogs, flowers, good books…and all things Christmas! We’ll miss you terribly mom…“At the break of dawn, we shall meet again.” Visitation will be held at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday June 11, 2024 from 5-8pm There will be a funeral Mass on Wednesday June 12 at 1:00pm at St. Vincent De Paul Parish in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
