Obituary of Peggy Jean Mambella
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Peggy after a long battle with dementia at the age of 82, on Thursday, June 6th. Loving mother of Michael (Heather), Angela (Robin) Thompson, the late Paul (Stacey), and Joseph. Adored Nana of James (Madeline), Meaghan (Stephen), Sarah-Jane (Dylan), Emma, Andrew (Sarah), Benjamin, Natasha, Zachary, Cole and Lily and great grandma to Sophia, Luca and Hunter. Dearest sister of Annie (Harry) Sheppard, twin Betty Grosz, the late Patsy and Jim MaGarrey, Jimmy, and Debbie (the late Dave) Greenfield. Peggy will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, extended family and good friends.
Peggy was blessed with the voice of an angel. She was a member of Chorus Niagara for over 40 years as well as a member of the St Julia's choir. She shared the gift of her voice at many weddings and funerals.
A special thanks is extended to the staff at Extendicare St. Catharines as well as at Lookout Ridge Fonthill for their exceptional care and compassion provided to our mother over the years.
If desired, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
