Amelia, Although I have not lived in St. Catharines for many years, I have such fond memories of our friendship & the great times we spent on sleep overs in your home. Your mom was always so warm & welcoming. She would periodically run into my mom in the grocery store in Martindale & they would catch up on family news. My sympathies to you & all of your family.

Amelia & Family,
Your mother was sophisticated, classy with an endearing sense of humour. I, like Harriet Lehnen remember the fun parties at the farm house with yourself and Alison and the gang. Your mother welcomed all of us, and she appeared to as much fun as we did.
She was a true saint when she adopted our Labrador Junior!
Pat was a spectacular lady. My thoughts are with you and the family.

Thank you very much Walter. It was very nice of you to reach out to me. I remember those parties too. They were lots of fun. I don’t remember her coming downstairs to tell us to be quiet and I think she chauffeured us all around without any complaints as well. She was a spectacular lady for sue

I was truly sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a lovely lady, so kind and wise.
Growing up with the Kirtland girls I came to know her and was honoured to call her “Auntie Patsy”.
I will miss my long talks with her. She always showed sincere interest and concern for me and my family. She was always there to comfort and encourage me even in her last days.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
Sincerely
Lynne (Hayes) Warren

I was so sorry to read about your mom. I have such wonderful memories of all the sleepovers with Alison and Amelia, the downstairs parties and even learning to drive a standard car at the farm. Mrs. Tregunno was always so warm and welcoming. When I returned to St. Catharines after many years away, it was a joy to reconnect with her at church. I know how much she will be missed!
Much love to you all,
Harriet

I am so saddened by the news of Pat's death. I have known Pat all my life, as her family on Gregory Road were our neighbours, & my Dad used to give Pat a ride into work in the late 1940s. Later when I played with her niece Bev while she was visiting over one summer Pat had us over for one of the girls' birthday. Most of my memories are from my later years as a teen, then as an adult once I'd returned to St.Cathrines to teach .We saw each other and have a little visit when our paths would cross at places like Wrights for vegetables, or the grocery store, etc.Pat was always so warm, and interested in what I was doing, and of course, would update me on the family, of whom she was very proud. I'd also hear news of Pat occasionally when I would speak to Carol Overholt, one of my former students.
In recent years I reconnected with Pat when her great friend Mercedes Tasane(also a former neighbour) died several yers ago. I called her to offer my condolences, and we have spoken at least once a month since. I was just thinking I would call her before I leave on holidays. I will miss her warm voice at the other end of the line. My thoughts are with all her family and friends. A light has gone out of our lives.

To Jane and the Tregunno family my condolences on the loss of your dear Mom. I have fond memories of your Mom who graciously gave me rides home from Lakeport after cross country practices. Your Mom was always smiling, very pleasant to chat with and impeccably dressed. A very classy lady. Karan (Doggett) Gardiner

Mrs. Tregunno was my second mother.
Jane and I have been friends since kindergarten and our mothers played a big role in both of our lives.
Pretty much every weekend I’d sleep over at the Tregunnos. Thank goodness it was at their house because Mrs. T put thick icing on her banana cake.
During the week, Jane would come to our house for lunch, with Let’s Make a Deal and Al’s penny candy store playing a big role in the hour we had off. In high school, Jane and I rowed together on the Canadian Junior Rowing team, spending hours on end rowing together, plus a little bit of time talking about boys.
All the while, our mothers were there supporting us, becoming friends in the process.
About 15 years ago, Jane and I started having “Mother’s Lunches” a couple of times a year. Those were special times for all of us. I’ve attached a picture from one of our outings.
How lucky was I to have a second mother who was so classy, strong, funny and caring? Whenever I was with Mrs. T, I always felt her love wash over me.
Mrs. Tregunno played a huge role in my life and the memory of her will be with me always.

Thinking of all my cousins and their families in the loss of their mother , grandmother and dear Aunt. A truly lovely Lady. We were so privileged to spend lots of time with our aunt over cups of coffee and treats she always baked. Sometimes in her garden and sometimes in ours. We would talk flowers or what was going on in the royal family. Always happy visits and we’d usually go home with some of her home made jam.
She was one of the strongest and kindest women I’ll ever know and we will always miss her. I hope sincerely that all your wonderful memories help you through this sad time.
Susan and Vic.
