It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dimitrios Koutsogiannopoulos on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 91 years of age. Dimitrios was a dedicated and loving husband of 66 years to his wife Vasiliki, an adoring father to his two beautiful daughters Gina and Tessi and son in laws Dimitri and the late Tom, a cherished "Papou" grandfather of Constantine, Marie, Demetri and Nicoletta and great grandfather to Theo. 

He will be fondly remembered by his family and numerous friends for his enchanting spirit, kindness and love that he shared with many. He is widely reknowned for his affinity for farm life and his extensive years in the restaurant business.

As a family we will eternally hold his memory dear in our hearts acknowledging a profound impact of his enduring presence throughout the years.

We wish to express our profound gratitude to the medical professionals, particularly the doctors and nursing staff at St. Peter's Hospital-Hamilton Health Sciences, for their exceptional kindness and compassionate care extended to Dimitrios and our family.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 6 - 8 p.m. at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St.Catharines. The First Thrice Holy Hymn Service/Trisagio will occur on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 585 Niagara St., St.Catharines followed by the Funeral Service and Final Thrice Holy Hymn Service/Trisagio and burial at Smithville Cemetery.
