Obituary of Margaret Rose Franklin
Margaret Rose Franklin, beloved wife of Stephen, went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2024.
Margaret was born in Port Colborne on January 16, 1937 to William and Rose Crabbe, and was raised there along with her siblings, Bill and Gladys.
After graduating from the Mack Training School for Nurses, Margaret worked as a nurse for over 20 years at the St. Catharines General Hospital. It was while she was working there that she met the love of her life, Steve.
Steve and Margaret enjoyed travelling, seeing much of the world together. In her later years, Margaret enjoyed beading, having fun talking with the group and making necklaces for her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 65 years, Steve and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty-Ann and Carl Winger. Margaret will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
In keeping with her wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will be held at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 605 Vine St, St. Catharines on Monday, July 8, 2024 beginning at 12:15pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Niagara Health Foundation to support the St. Catharines General Hospital and the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank.
