Obituary of Frank Lawson Taylor
Frank Lawson Taylor
1937-2024
After a brief battle with cancer, Frank passed away peacefully at home with his wife and family by his side on his 87th Birthday.Frank was born and raised in Kirkcaldy, Scotland before immigrating to Canada - but not without the love of his life.Devoted husband to Margaret for almost 64 years (July 27, 1960). Cherished father to his daughter, Gail and his son, Gavin.Frank will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Ami (Shane), Ryen (Sam), Cameron, Tanner (Paige), Sky (Alisha) and Steven (Charlie). We will continue to keep “Gramps” memory alive with his Great-Grandchildren Kylie, Breton, Austin, Milo, August, Isla, Benjamin and Rowan. He will also be missed by some good friends. He will be reunited with a few of them in heaven. They’re probably already out playing 18 holes.
Frank was always a “numbers” man. He started his career as a Draftsman and retired at Port Weller Dry Docks as a highly respected Technical Director of Canadian Ship Building and Engineering Ltd.
He worked really hard - never missing a day of work - except to travel the world with his wife. They spent their winters in Destin, Florida - playing golf and sipping Caesar’s on the beach. He Lived a Good Life - He Did it His Way.
Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends for a visitation at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St Catharines on Friday July 12, 2024 from 12pm-2pm. Service to directly follow at 2p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
