In loving memory of Stella Torelli (DiSerafino) February 5, 1932-July 26, 2024
On Friday, July 26, 2024 the world lost a beacon of love, resilience and culinary artistry. Born in Castel Castagna, Teramo, Italy on February 5th 1932, Stella embraced life with an unparalleled dedication to family, a meticulous passion for cooking and a profound love for the beauty of nature.
A pillar of strength and grace she poured her heart into everything she did especially when it came to family. Stella’s garden is a reflection of her soul-vibrant, nurturing and breath taking beautiful roses, lemon & olive trees.
Her legacy is one of unwavering hard work, unyielding love for her family and a life filled with grace.
Stella owned & operated Facer Pizza for 15 years, enjoying all her clients that loved her food and was always so grateful for their patronage.
Stella will be reunited with her beloved husband of 68 years Tullio Torelli (2006). She leaves behind her loving daughter Annamaria DiMaurizio (Antonio [Tony] 2013), sons Mario (Tami) and Carlo (Jennifer). She is a cherished Nonna of Lisa Carlomusto (Eric), Mara & Romina Di Maurizio, Matteo, Ella,Dante & Sophia Torelli. Bisnonna to Mila & Stella Carlomusto, the rainbows of her life. In heaven she joins her siblings Elisa Marrone, Vinicio & Gino Di Serafino. Her beloved sister-in-laws Linda and Clementina Torelli and brother-in-laws Marcello, Ernano Torelli and Regalo Marrone. She will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Vincenzo Torelli (Filomena Portanova) of St Catharines, and family in Italy: Antonio Torelli (Grazia), Emidio Torelli (Serenella), Maria Torelli of Pescara & Maria Torelli of Sanremo. Her sister-in-law Rita Mazza (Franco) and Vilma Vergalito (Pasquale) of St. Catharines & Tina Di Serafino of Belgium. Stella will be missed by all her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St, St Catharines, On, L2M 4Y1, on Tuesday July 30 from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 3pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Alfred Church on Wednesday July 31 at 11am with entombment to follow.
