Obituary of Drew Wallace

With loving family at his side, Drew Wallace passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2024, in his 52nd year followed by his lengthy battle with cancer. Survived by his best friend and love, Juliana along with the extended Chirichiello and Wallace Families.  Drew was predeceased and had a close connection to his grandma Wilda, his uncle Otis & aunt Helen, and close friend Rob Frye. 

Drew’s lifelong dream was always to be a police officer. He started his career in Metro Toronto Police Service 14 Division and made his way back home working for the Niagara Regional Police in a variety of units including the Casino, Marine, Emergency Services, Intelligence, Property, Court Unit, Professional Standards and was recently promoted to Staff Sergeant.  

Drew truly enjoyed the outdoors, flying, hunting, deep sea fishing and especially taking every opportunity to travel. His passion in life was experiencing new culture, foods and expanding his knowledge through media outlets, reading and politics.  

His personality was larger than life, when he entered the room, he captivated attention. He was an excellent story teller, never leaving out the tiniest of details. Drew was always the most sharply dressed; his motto was ‘Always better to be over-dressed than under-dressed’.  

In keeping with Drew’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place and the family welcomes guests for a time of gathering to Celebrate Drew’s life on Saturday, August 24th from 1-3 pm followed by a Celebration to begin at 3:00 pm. A private family burial will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date.  If so desired, donations in Drew's memory may be made to Sick Kids Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
