Obituary of Rodger James Best
Rodger James Best
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our son Rodger James Best also know as RJ on August 13, 2024.
Rodger is the loving son of Wendy Best and Dave Mullen.
Rodger leaves behind his younger sister Sally, nephews Holden (Littleman), Asher (Dasher) and niece Indigo (Gogo). Also, Stepsister Sarah, Nephews Riley, Coen and Max.
Predeceased by grandparents Joan and William Cox Sr,
Rodger will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rodger held a special place in his heart for his uncle Bill Cox.
Rodger would go to great lengths to make someone smile. He is loyal and funny with the oddest sense of humour.
Rodger enjoyed cooking and always tried to do his best. His work ethics were impeccable. He was often misunderstood. He was too proud to share he had some memory loss, which sometimes hindered his performance. He would roll with the punches and pick himself up right until the very end.
As parents we are proud of this young man. He did things his way which at times were frustrating. But we were so proud of him.
Rodger you were taken too soon for our hearts to bear.
Fly high with the Angels Son. Your next journey will be a good one.
On Saturday, August 24, 2024 we will hold a celebration of Life for Rodger at 46 Trelawne Dr., St. Catharines, Ontario from 2 pm – 6pm. Donations to the Epilepsy foundation would be appreciated.
