Obituary of George Tsemperis
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our loved one George Tsemperis, after his long battle with kidney disease. George passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Tuesday, October the 8th, 2024.
George was Born in Skoura, Sparti, Greece on January 5th, 1935, to his parents Kanella and Sotirios and was the eighth child in the family of nine children. (Survived by Sophia and Predeceased by Panos, John, Eleni, Dimos, Spiros, Elias and Socrates).
He emigrated to Canada in 1955 where he originally settled in Montreal and later met his wife Helen of 66 years.
George leaves behind his loving wife, two daughters, Nellie Nasiakos (Telly) and Vicky Sgouromitis (Tom). They have five grandchildren, Nick, George (Pre-Deceased), Tina, Greg and Connie (Tudor). They also have two great granddaughters Olivia and Alyssa.
Finding new opportunities in Ontario, George and Helen began their career as Restauranteurs and spent many years working side by side to build successful businesses. After retirement, they found community and friendship as they were able to invest more time in their love of the church.
He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. We love you dad!
