Obituary of Maria Tota
With great sadness, our beloved mother, Maria Tota passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 12th 2024 at the age of 87.
Maria spent 30 happy years working for the Niagara Catholic District School Board as a custodian. She took great care of the school as well as the staff and everyone appreciated her hard work. Maria made many lasting friendships and enjoyed planning and celebrating school occasions.
Maria had a loving and generous soul. She cared deeply for her entire family and formed special bonds with many of them. From her sisters-in-law that she shared countless memories with, the nieces and nephews that she spent time with, the son-in law that she relied on, to the grandchildren that she was so proud of, they all had a special place in her heart.
Maria stayed strong and active well into her later years. She was able to care for her husband until his 90th year, maintaining her home, as well as her independence. We all admired her strength and we hope we can follow her legacy.
Pre deceased by her loving husband Carmine. Survived by her daughters Angela (Mike Geremia) and Julia (late: Mike Siconolfi). Missing their special Nonna, grandchildren Christopher, David, Corina, Francesca and Michela. Fondly remembered by relatives, nieces and nephews.
We will miss her daily calls, her delicious Sunday lunches and spending time together during special holidays. We will be forever grateful for the wonderful life our mother (and father) have given us. Your work is done now, rest in eternal peace.
