Obituary of Lucienne Desneige Farrell
Lucienne (Lucy) Farrell Jan. 8,1936-Nov.18, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucy Farrell on Monday, November 18th in St. Thomas, Ontario. Lucy was predeceased by her parents John and Emeriza Del Guidice, her husband Gerry Sr, her brother Hector Del Guidice, her sisters Rita Fleury(late Peter), Marie Hamelin (Paul), Gabrielle Dumas (late Réal), Pauline Demers (Lucien), and Adele Fletcher (Bryan) (late Réal), daughter-in-law Pat, sister-in-law Anne and mother-in-law Florence. She will be sorely missed by her son Gerry Farrell (Grace), granddaughter Amanda and grandson Ryan, brother Sylvio Del Guidice (Ginette), sisters Julie Mascioli (late Nino), Rachelle Del Guidice, brother-in-law Ron Farrell and his wife Danella. She will also be remembered with much love by her many nieces and nephews.
Lucy grew up in Timmins, was a bookkeeper for many years (approx. 35yrs), lived most of her life in St. Catharines and lived in St. Thomas for the last 7 years with her son and grandkids. She loved being with family and was especially proud of her 2 grandchildren Amanda and Ryan. She made friends wherever she went and loved to travel. Her adventures took her to England where she connected with family many times. She has also been to France, Florida, BC, Arizona, and went on several cruises. Her favorite thing was socializing. She loved to talk to people; she also enjoyed dancing, bingo, slots and reading. She always made people feel at home when they visited. Her welcoming smile will surely be missed by everyone who knew her.
As per Lucy's request cremation has taken place. The Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St. On Saturday, November 30th from 2 - 3pm. A Final Tribute for Lucy will follow at 3pm. If so desired, donations made to the Valleyview Nursing Home, St. Thomas in Lucy's memory would be appreciated by her family.
