Obituary of Diane Geraldine Brown
With many tears, we say goodbye to our fun-filled loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully at The Hamilton General Hospital with family by her side on Friday November 22, 2024, at 80 years young. She now continues her journey to be reunited with the love of her life, Donald. Wayne (Jennifer) and LeeAnn (Denny) were truly blessed to have had such an amazing, joyous, and caring woman as a mother. She was a social butterfly and enjoyed being involved within her community, whether that be as a volunteer of 73 years with the Girl Guides of Canada, helping with the Poppy Foundation at the Legion, or just having good ol’ gal fun as a member of the Crown Jewels. She was, however, most proud to be a grandmother to Ryley, Tennyson, Hayley, Coral, Nicole, Megan, and Tyson. Diane is also survived by her sister Gail Jackson, her brother Peter May, and sister-in-law Tracie, as well as her wonderful cousins. She will surely be missed by those she touched with her smile and vibrant energy. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Jacob Senior Living Retirement Home. Staff have been wonderful in providing her with various levels of care and laughter while making her a part of the Jacob family. Their dedication and compassion for the past two and half years have been greatly appreciated. As per Diane’s wishes, cremation has taken place, with a celebration of life to follow in spring 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Girl Guides of Canada or the Poppy Foundation Legion #631
We will always love her and she is forever in our hearts.
