Obituary of Natalie Stephanie Dejneka
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Natalie Stephanie Dejneka on December 12, 2024, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. At age 61, she is welcomed in heaven by her parents, Mykola (Nick) and Anna, along with her brother Markijan. Cherished mother to Zachariah, Ivanka and Zorianka. Dear sister to Olia, Mary, Odarka (Wiley), and Vera. Teta to Natalka (the late Andrij), Andrew (Kristina), Mark (Alison), and Tanya (Paul). Great-aunt to Jeremy, Luke, Thomas, Kalyna, Andrea, Madison and Wyatt. Proud Fur-Baba to Molly, Mini, Rigby, and Prismo. Beloved friend to Mary-Ann Luzba, who graciously and lovingly cared for Natalie in her final weeks.
Growing up in St. Catharines, Natalie was a passionate and devoted member of the Ukrainian community, for which she proudly advocated. She lived and worked in St. Catharines and Toronto during her formative years, and went on to give 27 hard-working years to Service Canada.
Natalie was a friend to all. She will be remembered for the boundless love that she showed others. Those that knew her will remember her warm nature, loving heart, and easy-going sense of humour. She loved classic rock, her family, and summertime.
Natalie will be deeply, deeply missed by her family and friends for her selfless heart, and warm smile. We love you, Mama.
