Obituary of Alida Tesselaar
Alida (Ali) Tesselaar, 94, of St.Catharines, ON, passed away at home, at Anchor Pointe on January 19, 2025.
Ali’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to her family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling from the loss. She lived a vibrant life and still had so much ahead of her. She was taken far too soon.
Ali married the love of her life and soulmate Gerry in 1982. They were excited to start their new lives together. They travelled to every province and state. They also enjoyed overseas travel. The longest they had been apart was these past 3 months after Gerry’s death. They are finally and forever reunited.
Ali is survived by her Daughter Nancy (Rick), daughter Sandy (Mark), daughter Vera and son Tom (Ria).
Though she loved traveling and camping, Ali’s favorite role was that as a Oma and Great Oma. She treasured the time with her grandkids/great grandkids and loved watching them grow, playing a game of Skipo and passing her love of camping down to them. She is going to be dearly missed by Grandchildren Casandra (Rob) Chantel, Erin, Mitch (Leah) , Rick (Crystal) Tanya and Kathryn (James) and Great grandchildren Jaymes, Gavin, Benjamin, Charlotte and Taron.
The family would like to thank the amazing PSW’s especially Laura for all their care.
Cremation has taken place and the family will be having a private celebration of life and burial of Ali and Gerry.
