My sincere condolences on the passing of Doug. I always looked forward to seeing him Saturday mornings at the Avondale ( the ribbing he would give and take )I will miss him.

In 1963 Doug was stroke of our St. Catharines Rowing Club Sr. 135 lb. eight crew. We won every race we competed in that season. Our Henley championship photo is still a prized posession, and Doug is sitting proudly in front of me the coxwain. That was 50 years ago and I still have fond memories of that summer. I extend my heartfelt sympathies to Wendy and family.
