Obituary of Lesley Osmond
OSMOND, Lesley - Passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer on Saturday July 24, 2010 in her 47th year. Beloved wife and best friend of Gary. Cherished mom of Stephen and David. Loved daughter of Arthur and Audrey of Nottingham, England. Cherished sister of Ian of South Africa. Adored daughter in law of Gordon and Dinah Osmond of Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Lesley will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends. She was a longtime physiotherapist with COMCARE. Her passion was working with special needs children within the school system. In the last year she was dedicated to the support of new Walker Family Cancer Centre and her dream was to see this centre built. Lesley had the honour of being one of the three selected people to be the face of the campaign for this years Big Move Cancer Ride. She participated in this 50km bike ride in September 2009 and was the first female to cross the finish line. Lesley was the backbone of everything she was involved in. She will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Lesley's life will be held on Thursday July 29, 2010 at 11 .a.m. at St. John's Anglican Church, Port Dalhousie, with inurnment to take place immediately following in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or in Trust for her children would be appreciated by her family.
