Tom, I just learned recently of the death of your mom through Karen Carlson...she keeps up-to-date on all the St. Catharines news.
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember that your family was very close and, the few times I met you mom, she was always very nice to me. I am sure you have a wonderful lifetime of memories that you can share with your family to help you through this difficult time.

Gosh, what can I say. To all the Smelle family my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Wife, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother, Friend, etc. Annie was a lovely friendly person who welcomed all into her home. I shared a few parties/meals and will remember the family with great love. She will be missed.

both you and Uncle Tom have done so much for myself, Carl Jr., Natasha, my mom, and our family, you have helped us out of the hardest times and been there in the best. a summer was never a summer without visiting the you two at your cottage, (where I still to this day, have never had anyone else in my life pick out the seeds from a water melone for us!) catching sunfish all the time and always having to through back because you can't eat them - (and that's even with uncle Tom's special Fish radar finding all the fishes!!!!), and fires where Carl and I could stay up well after dark.
I can not even begin to express the loss the Smelle family has taken, and the world in losing such a caring understanding, loving person.
I've always think about you guys often, and how the love you and uncle Tom shared inspired us all. It's very hard to know you are no longer here, but I know you are up there bowling with Grampers and Dad.
thank you for everything, I will never forget you, and everything you shared with me (and all yours and Uncle Tom's hockey stores! and times when you were first married - everything)
I am so sad to see you go, but I know Heaven got back another Angle that they only lent to us on earth, you lived a long live, and one that inspired mine. I love you both Aunt Annie and Uncle Tom. you have been so connected and influential throughout our lives, thank you.
Love always,
Jessica Smelle - Purcer
daughter of Carl Smelle Jr.
