Though we were friends so long ago, working together at MacDonald's beverages, I have very fond memories of Eleanor and her family living on Norwood Ave. here in North Bay. Many times I was invited for dinner, and Eleanor would call home and ask her mom to make "cottage pudding"
My last meeting with Eleanor was when she and Dennis were visiting, and we met at St. Rita's church.
She was so happy. I was very happy to see her, and we hugged, and laughed, even though it was for a short time.
Family, please accept my deepest sympathy. She will be remembered by me as another bright shining star in heaven.

Thinking about my Uncle Denis and both families - one family - and knowing how he and Eleanor embraced life in the here and now. I sent her a short e-mail a week before and got one full of detail. The focus was on Denis, others in the family, plans for August. No mention of her own health except that they were happy. We never know how long we have. Sorry to my uncle Denis and the rest of Eleanor's loved ones.
