Obituary of Eleanor Portugaise

Portugaise, LaRochelle, Eleanor (nee: Moore) Passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Thursday August 6, 2009 at the Hamilton General Hospital. (Happy Birthday Leslie). Eleanor wife of Dennis. Loving mother of Randy, Laurie & Randy Snyder, Dale & Nicki, Beth & Evan Williamson, Marsha & Tony Tullo, Barry & Cheryl, Beverly & Rick Sewell, Rodney & Tracy, Marney & Joe Link. Dear Grandmother of Richard, Brooke, Deidra, Bryce, Fawn, Ashley & Eddie Coley, Kristal, Michael, Corey, Kaila, Clinton, Joshua, Samantha, David, Victoria, Kate-Lyn, Tyler, Ryan, Alycia, Christopher, Sierra, Devyn, Jake, Zack, Dylan, Brock, and Cody. Great grandmother of Jaiden, Evan, Hunter and Cohen. She is survived by brothers Gary and Gordon and sisters Beverly and Diane. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lorne, son Leslie, and granddaughter Alynah, brothers Clinton, Eddie, Donny, and her parents Clinton & Marie. A special heartfelt thanks to Father Mike Trayer for all your love and support as well as the ICU East Staff. Eleanor was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish . She was retired from the Lincoln County Separate School Board. Eleanor is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Visiting hours are Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. with vigil prayers to be held at 3 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11 am. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Queenston St., St. Catharines, with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
