The Zakow family would like to offer their condolences to our cousins on the loss of their dad and our uncle. Uncle Joe had a very special place in my heart. He would give you the best hugs and make you feel so special. I am so glad that I went to Canada last year and saw him. We had a lot of laughs and some great pictures to keep in our memories. My favorite memory is when I went up to visit Uncle Joe to spend some quality time with him. He would bring me tea and toast in bed every morning and took me on my first helicopter ride. That is a time I will cherish forever and will never forget. Thanks Uncle Joe for all the great memories you will always be remembered in our hearts.
Michele (nee Finucane)Zakow and family.

Our dearest cousins, we are so very sorry for your loss and grieve with you. Our Uncle Joe, was truly a special person; warm, caring, fun and loving (and a true ladies man, especially when it came to his many nieces, an endless flirt!).
We are so very blessed to have had him in our lives and we are so lucky to have such great memories to keep with us and to help us cope at this very sad time. One of my favorite memories at 16 Broadway in Great Neck, is when you would visit & we would spent the whole day at Jones Beach with more Finucane's than you could count, having a great lasagna dinner (if Aidan didn't get there first) and laughing for hours and hours . What a great time we all had together.
Your dad will always hold a very special place in my heart, he is one in a million and will truly be missed.
Safe home Uncle Joe, give Aunt Marie our love. ~ Aileen (nee Finucane) Neill and Family

Dear Aidan, Oonagh, Declan and all the family,
Thinking of you all at this very sad time. Our sincere and deepest sympathy on your loss. What a wonderful, kind and gentle man he was. We were blessed to have him in the family. I will treasure the many fond memories of him; especially when he was my "date" at my friends wedding in Tralee, Ireland. Oh, how we danced the night away! We often reminisced about that time when we spoke. He was all heart and dearly loved by us all. Rest in peace Uncle Joe, and until we meet again, "May God hold you in the palm of His Hand." Love, Deirdre, John and family.
