Al Pieretti & Daughters Alison and Heather posted a condolence
Dear Olive & Family;
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Al. When I told my daughters yesterday, they were so shocked to hear the sad news. As well as their Grandparents. As you know, the girls have always considered Al and yourself as their Aunt and Uncle. They have many fond memories of coming to your home and loved the times at Christmas when they were much younger. I will never forget the first time that Al and I met on the job. Al always had a very cheerful outgoing personality, which made him very unique. His smile would light up a room. Al was a very giving individual and was very dedicated to his craft. Our friendship grew and for many years we remained close friends, even after his retirement. Though Al had his moments, but don't we all have them as well. It seems like yesterday, when I drove Al and yourself to London University Hospital. I have and always will have, those many fond memories of Al and yourself, Olive, and of the family. He is now resting peacefully and yes, I have and will always miss him. God bless you all.

Our deepest sympathies for the Turnbull family, sorry we were unable to attend. Mr. Turnbull, who in his manners reminded me so much of my own Dad, the jolly man who would always come bounding down the basement steps to complain about our loud music and call us all a bunch of long haired lay-abouts, then stay and have a beer with us and keep us laughing the entire time he was down there. A welcome change to our teenage angst back then. Also many happy Christmas memories down in the bar when you knew you'd always get a big hug and a big drink while he waited for Alister Sims to call out "Merry Christmas". He will always be remembered with the utmost fondness.

My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Turnbull. I had worked with him back in the "old days" when we were both employed by the Niagara Regional Police. At that time he and I both worked on the same shift. I knew him to be a wonderful man and I admired him greatly.
