Obituary of Dr. Philip Kim St. John

St. John, Dr. Philip Kim - We announce with great sadness the passing of Dr. Philip Kim St. John during the early morning hours of January 12, 2007 at the Henderson Hospital in Hamilton with his loving family and friends at his side. Kim was a loving husband to Shelley for 23 years. Beloved son of Margaret and the late George, brother to Ian (Jo-Anne) of Mississauga, Gary (Darlene) of Kitchener, Diane (Fedele Capobianco) of Ayr and Bruce (Sue) of Barrie. Survived by his mother-in-law Rose and the late Alfred Masters. Brother-in-law to Sandra Maletta (John). Will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews Allie, Jordan, Brodie, Brenden, Taylor, Connor, Skylar, Lacey, Kevin and Jack. Also survived by the Perretts, dear friend Isabelle and best friend Mike, his colleagues, clients and friends from Bridgeview and Skyway Animal Hospitals. Kim graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Guelph University and dedicated 28 years to the loving care of animals. He leaves a lasting legacy in his love for all creatures great and small, especially his devotion to his Rottweillers and French Bulldogs. Kim made the world a nicer place while he was here!Kim is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until 11am on Monday. A celebration of Kim's life will be held in the George Darte Funeral Chapel on Monday at 11:30am. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Cremation will follow the chapel service. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to either the Pet Trust Fund (Guelph University) or Children's Wish Foundation in Kim's honour.
