Missing you at Christmas 2012
Dear Ted, another year is upon us, although it just seems like yesterday you were still with us. Operation "Storm the Beach" is underway, it may take a bit but I will make sure it's done. The yard looks nice and I have a tree in the house with a special decoration in your image. I will be spending the holidays there with Mom and the kids remembering you in every way. The kids send there love, and as you know Mom always does. Love you Teddy. I hope you and Grandma are keeping watch to make sure we are all safe, healthy and happy. Kiss the puppies for us. Loving you, Kitten

Hi Ted: Still thinking of you. The flowers are coming up nice in the back yard. I sit every morning and watch them grow with a cup of tea, Shiloh ussually comes for a visit. I know she can still feel you and Tasha there. Love you Teddy. I know your climbing that stairway to heaven to be with Grandma.

Keeping your memory
Dear Ted, the time has flown by so quickly, but not a day goes by that you are not in my thoughts. I go to your house everyday, planting flowers are just appreciating the tranquility of your space. I hope to keep this tranquilty and memories of you and grandma alive. She would appreciate the gardening I have done. I hope to keep doing this for the rest of my life, for my early life existed there with you and grandma and the dogs. One day I hope to get a puppy to run free in the back yard. I visited Grandma's grave and placed some of your ashes in with her, together again. It really saddened my soul to think of both of the most influential people in my life are gone. I planted a flower there for both of you in hopes that both of your loves and energies will make it bloom every year. Loving you and missing you. Love Mary

To My Brother (Christmas 2011)
The Lord decided to take you Brother,
Away from your siblings, and your mother.
Your love and smile will live forever,
Deep in my heart I will always treasure.
Your wit and humor is inbedded in our minds,
For a person like you is hard to find.
You taught me so much while you were here,
In my heart I will hold them dear.
The holidays without you will be sad,
We will just have to treasure the times we had.
But time will slowly ease our pain,
Till time will allow us to be together again.
Missing and loving you daily,
Love Kitten (Mary)

I always remember looking over all of your antiques & movies with Leanna over the years; I never once thought I'd be looking over them like this. All the parties & bonfires, I never thought they would end. I only wish I had been old enough to enjoy them thoroughly.
I'll never forget when you took me to see Return of the king, when we got those matching book sets of Middle Earth's Encyclopedia & Atlas. Tolkien was something we both treasured.
You've sailed off from Grey Haven with Gandalf, Bilbo & Frodo Baggins, Elrond & Galadriel, The keepers of the rings, to the Undying Lands. To bask forever in the gold & silver light of Laurelin & Telperion, the Trees of the Valar, overlooking the ancient cities of Elves, where it all began.

Dear Uncle Teddy,
Thanks for giving me an appreciation for all things old and strange, and great memories of your home. I always remember it being the most interesting place, full of knowledge and energy. A few weeks ago I was talking about you to my friend, who mentioned he was going to his Uncle Teddy's. Having never met someone else with one, I told him about you and how you could literally spend hours looking at all the walls and shelves and still never see everything. Culture and heritage were so important, and I appreciate both so much more because of you. The bonfires, barbecues, star-gazing and comet watching, and trips to Happy Rolph's, the records that were always playing, and funny movies; usually Up In Smoke on the t.v, Led Zeppelin on the turn table, and tea cups all around.
I will miss you and all that you found to be worth knowing, and as Andy said, that you're content in Fiddler's Green, full of beautiful Derry Down green hills and lovely music.
<3 Amber.

Ted , I am so sorry I couldn't have been closer in your time of need . I am glad I got to see you in Bowmanville whenever your ship docked and at Christmas at Anna's . If not your influence and taking me on the ships when I was a kid I may not have taken the path I did in school and subsequently be blessed with the career I have today . Your love for family and animals is unsurpassed and will not be overlooked wherever the afterlife may take you .
God Bless .
If tears could build a stairway
and memories a lane ,
I'd walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again .
Love always

To My Brother Teddy:
You were always there for your family whether it was for a place to stay or to sit and hang out. I only wish I could have done more for you. I remember living there taking care of Grandma and the dogs. We would be sitting for hours watching Star Trek, you were sitting at the Helm with your gizmo, your dogs at your feet and we would be drinking tea. I see you there now only your having tea with Grandma and she's calling you "Mr. Comfort". You always tried to keep family memories and traditions alive. You will always be with me Teddy whether I'm having my morning tea or seeing a boat go through the canal. I love you very much Teddy, you are finally at peace.
Loving you always.

Thanks for the all of the life lessons. Thanks for being the best big brother a kid could ask for when I was growing up 2 doors down. Thanks for my first pair of skates, my first bike and for the first of many kicks in the rear when I needed it. Thanks for teaching me the love of dogs and letting me take care of yours while you were at sea, some of the best memories ever. Thanks for the opportunity to grow with my future wife in your home, Laurie helped me with your dogs and kicked me in the rear along the way too. Our girls loved going to their Uncle Teddy's to check out all the books, pictures, maps, walking out to the bird sanctuary with the dogs and having a fire in the back yard. Most of all they loved their Uncle Teddy.
All great memories of a great brother and uncle that will be sadly missed.
Love always.
