Our Sympathy goes out to the Family of Ken Petroff. You are all in our thoughts & prayes. I thought I saw your face today, in the sparkle of the morning sun. And then I heard the angel say, "Their work on earth is done" I thought I heard your voice today, then laugh your hearty laugh. And then I heard the angel say, "There's peace dear one at last." I thought I flet your touch today, in the breeze that rustled by. And then I heard the angel say, " The spirit never dies." I thought I saw my broken heart, in the crescent of the moon. And then I heard the angel say. "The Lord is coming soon." I thought that you had left us, for the stars so far above. And then I heard the angel say "They left you with their love." I thought that We would miss you so, and never find our way. And then I heard the angel say, "They're with you every day." "The sun, the wind, the moon, the stars, will forever be around, reminding you of the love you shared, and the peace they've finally found. Brian, Ilona, Jordan and Michael Adelstein

Dear LouAnn. I work at TRW and have known Ken for many years. We both have the quirky sense of humor that you speak of. When we would see each other in the plant, we would slap ourselves on the forehead and ask why we missed the Alzheimer's meeting. " Oh I forgot" was our typical answer. Judy Boutilier (also from TRW) and I went to visit Ken last May (06) in the hospital. Judy was recovering from breast cancer and I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. We both have recovered from our surgery's and are feeling good. I can not answer why Ken did not. I truly believe that God had different plans for Ken. He has used Ken as His instrument to bring more people to reassess their lives and put their priorities in perspective. He has fought the courageous and faithful fight. I truly believe that he has gone to a world where he has a new and completely healed body, his pain and suffering gone. May God grant you and your families all the courage and faith in the coming days as you say goodbye to Ken. God bless you. Vic Ens

Dear Louann, Chris and Lara,
You have our deepest sympathy for the loss of beloved husband and father. I worked with and for Ken over my 34 years at TRW. I got to know ken very well and we had a lot of things in common. Ken was my boss while he was the Manager in Purchasing. He was a great guy to work for and with. I liked his sense of humour, which at times was quirky but funny just the same. We used to love to go our for all you can eat Chinese food at a little place on Ontario Street. Even after I retired in 1998, whenever we came back to St. Catharines for a visit, I would call Ken and off we would go for Chinese. He loved to talk about his family especially Chris and Lara and there sporting adventures. He was extremely proud of his whole family. He will be sorely missed by all.
Joan and I have both had our bout with cancer and so far we have been lucky that we both have been cured, Joan through surgery and myself chemo and radiation treatments. We just wish that Ken could have had the same success. He was much too young to have something like this happen to him and his family.
We are making a donation to The Canadian Cancer Society in Kens name. Let us hope that this will in some way help to find a cure for this terrible disease. You and your family will be in our prayers and we wish you the best for the future in this time of grieving.

Dear Louann, Chris and Laura: Words fail me to express our thoughts of your unbelievable loss. We were all saddened to hear of Ken's passing. We have many wonderful memories of our Owl's Head trips which seem so long ago. Both Carly and Kate recalled, immediately, his sense of humour and all the fun both the adults and kids had trecking to and from Quebec each year. Ken always made us laugh and every year was an adventure to say the least. There are too many hilarious moments to mention.
Please know that we are thinking of you all.

Dear Louann and family,
Please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of Ken. It was with great sorrow that we read of his passing in the paper. We remember what a great guy he was and how you two made such a wonderful couple. We will keep you in our prayers. We know his memory will live on forever, even that "dry" sense of humour that he had.
