Obituary of Kenneth Thomas Petroff

Petroff, Kenneth Thomas (Ken) Peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, June 4, 2007 at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital at 54 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend of Louann for 32 years, loving and supportive father of Chris, Laura and Shadow, survived by his parents Nicholas and Mary Petroff and his uncle Nicholas Nedeff, dear brother of Vivian and Bill Huffman, dear uncle of William and Cheryl Huffman, and Eric Huffman. Dear son-in-law of Bryon and Mabel Ball and brother-in-law of Bryon Ball Jr. and Tim and Brenda Ball and dear uncle of Katie Ball. Ken was employed as a Preventative Maintenance Coordinator at TRW Thompson Products Division for 30 years. He was a true handyman taking things apart and learning how they worked, he was a member of St. Julia's Church, he enjoyed watching his children's sporting events, coaching baseball, basketball teams and we will miss his quirky sense of humour. Ken is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 11:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Julia's Church at 12 noon with cremation to follow. Visiting Hours Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for Ken will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Oncology Floor of the St. Catharines General Hospital or to the 2 East Wing of the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital.
