Obituary of Bruce John Erskine
ERSKINE, JOHN BRUCE in his 68th year, surrounded by love Saturday, June 4, 2005 at McMaster University Hospital.Loving husband and best friend of Sue. Cherished father of Susan (Paul), Kathy (Mike), Harry (Lindsay) and Jenny (Mike)Proud Papa of Lindsay, Brandon, Jordan, Adam, Meghan, Rebecca, Wiley, Brett, Dawson and Peyton. Predeceased by Maddy (2000). Cherished brother of Marie, Helen, Jessie (Chuck) and Nancy (Bob). Predeceased by parents Harry and Margaret Erskine.
Bruce enjoyed a lifelong association with the St. Catharines Rowing Club as a coach and official. His heart will continue to beat through the many lives he touched. "Our seats are saved."
Bruce is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. where the family will received friends on Monday from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Star of the Sea Church, Port Dalhousie, on Wednesday June 8th, 2005 at 11am. Cremation to follow. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 6:45pm. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated by the St. Catharines Rowing Club or the Niagara's Cancer Care Run Foundation.
