Obituary of Stephen Frederick Kijanka

Kijanka, Stephen Frederick Passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home on Monday, January 17, 2005, two days before his 66th birthday. Beloved husband of Joan for 42 years, loving father of Pamela Marchetti and her husband Greg and David Kijanka. Grandchildren: Eric, Lexi and Matthew will always love you Big Pop. Dear brother of Carol Pavey and Dannny Kijanka from Sarnia. Steve was a member of St. Alfred's Church, past president of the Grantham Lions Club, Grantham Curling Club, retired teacher from Lakeport Secondary School for many years where he continued teaching night school classes since his retirement. A great friend to all who knew him. Stephen is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Visiting Hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Tsunami Relief Fund through the Canadian Red Cross.
