Obituary of Stephen Michael Balanowski

Balanowski, Stephen Michael On Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Stephen Balanowski 62 years of age. Loving husband of Anne; dear father of Stephen and Marie Balanowski of St. Catharines, Debbie and Gary Kleinsteuber of Keswick, and Rick and Terri Balanowski of Vineland, dearest Opie of Stephen, Chantelle, Kristen, Jamie, Tyler and Christian, beloved son of the late Anna and Eugene Balanowski, dear brother of Jennie and Joe Olszewski of St. Catharines, Mary and the late Joe Wozniak of Thorold, and brother-in-law of Mary and the late Emil Jesik of Thorold; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Balanowski was a member of St. Alfred's Church Parish Council, Eucharistic Minister and Lay Reader of that parish, founding member of Club Heidelberg, Past President of C.Y.O Young People's Club, teacher and VicePrincipal at St. Alfred's School and teacher at Denis Morris High School. Mr. Balanowski is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10 a.m . Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 10:30 a.m . Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 8 p.m . Memorial remembrances to the Cardiac Unit at the St. Catharines General Hospital or St. Alfred's Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
