Dear Jaroslaw and Bohdan,
I remember your father as one of the pillars of Sudbury's Ukrainian community, specifically those associated with the Ukrainian Youth Association. His and their long-standing dedication and many years of hard work will always be remembered and appreciated by those who were part of that community. Vichna yomu pam'iat'!

Mr. Mykola Kocijowskyj had a profound influence on many including me. My first recollection of him was at the age of 9, at my parent's home, when I still had little appreciation for what was important in life. Yet I could tell by his enthusiasm, the strength in his voice & general demeanor that I was in the presence of someone special. As time went on, this sense of mine was confirmed over & over again as I started to appreciate the depth of his character & commitment to family, life & the community. I always looked forward to meeting him & to once again hear that familiar voice of his and his current thoughts. There were personal experiences with him that I cannot share here, but the loss of him leaves a void in my mind & heart and robs me of one more hero that I looked up to. May he rest in peace and be assured that he will remain in my/our thoughts for as long as I'm/we're around. God blessed us with people like Mr. Mykola Kocijowskyj. He will be sorely missed!!!!

Dear Bohdan and Jerry;
Thank you for letting me know that your Father is now resting in the arms of the Lord.
Someone once said that:
They are not dead who live in the lives they leave behind;
In those whom they have blessed, they live a life again,
And shall live, through the years,
Eternal Life, and grow each day more beautiful
As time declares their good,
Forgets the rest, and proves their immortality.
Многая літа
Your Friend and Brother in Arms,
David

Mykola Kocijowskyj and Family were long term neighbours of the Dawydiak Family when we all resided along side each other so many years ago. I recall him as a very jovial yet spiritual individual who devoted himself both to family and his Ukrainian cultural community with all of his heart and soul. He will be truly missed.
