Gerry's good humour and the smile that lite up his face we will always remember.
Although he was the eldest of the Old Farts Olympic Team, which came home with many Silver medals and once even Gold, he was always a willing joyful participant, that is as long he did not have to get in a boat or get his feet wet, even the cardboard vessel his own son-in-law helped build.
A willing recipient of fun loving ribbing, and a master of handing it back.
