Obituary of Eva Eagleson, RN

Eagleson, Eva Margaret Kristina, RN (nee Moller) Passed away peacefully and arrived safely home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the age of 91. Beloved wife and best friend of 66 years to Dr. William (Mac) Eagleson. Loving mother of Lois (Roger) Melnychuk, of B.C., Janet (Karl) Janzen, of NOTL, David (Heather) Eagleson, of Georgetown. Grandmother to David (Erika) Melnychuk, Darryl (Lindsay) Melnychuk, Karen (Kenny) Atkinson, Jennifer (Timothy) Calford, Philip (Tiffany) Janzen, Stuart (Beth) Eagleson, Cheryl (David) Green, Matthew (Kayla) Eagleson and great-grandmother of 16. Eva leaves behind her dear sister-in-law Jean, and her treasured nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by her brothers Dr. Ted Moller and Dr. Evert (Mary) Moller. Eva was a graduate of the Toronto General Hospital and worked as a VON; as well, worked alongside Mac in his medical practice. She was also involved with her local churches and with the Christian Women's Club. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the compassionate caregivers and staff at the Heidehof Home. In accordance with Eva's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. A Celebration of Eva's Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Heidehof, 600 Lake St., St. Catharines, with visitation held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and donations, the family appreciates your expressions of sympathy and comfort. Parking- If you are attending Eva's ceremony, we would like to invite you to park your cars across the street from Heidehof, at the Lindenhaus parking lot. The funeral home will try and reserve some spots in the Heidehof parking lot for those who need assistance.
