Nancy & family: I am very sorry for the loss of your wonderful parents. As a member of the Hamilton Niagara Chapter I enjoyed many years of Gerry's amazing sense of humour and was also fortunate enough to spend time enjoying the warm and sweet personality of Dorothy. I can't thank you enough for the time that you spent keeping us informed of the progress of each of your parents. I hope you know how much we appreciated knowing what was happening. Please know that your parents will be thought of often, missed by many, and kept in our hearts with many fond and happy recollections of times shared.

Such pleasant thoughts surround our memory of Gerry (and Dorothy) for the genuine people they were. Years ago, we weren't sure of what to make of the "tag team" of Lycett and Bullocks (Mutt & Jeff) when they joined (the then) Council of Driver Trainers but through the laughter provided by them, we learned to roll with them in hilarity.
Gerry worked his butt off to contribute to Council over the years in everything we did. His accurate accounting and guarding of the funds was inspirational and he did it for such a long term.
On the purely social side, both your Mother and Father delighted us at their home (the dog that ran in circles on the lawn) and at dinners at FSC Conferences. They just made things so pleasant for all of us at these functions. Gerry was a real "gem" of a man and reading the comments going around Council at the moment, we are all much better off and enriched for knowing him.
Those of us fortunate enough to have experienced his humour will remember him fondly. Our thoughts are now with Dorothy and you, her Family Members.
A giant among men, Rest in Peace Little Buddy.
