Obituary of Dean Patrick MacDonald

MacDONALD, Dean "Dino" Patrick - After a valiant battle with an aggressive cancer, his strong spirit and will to fight to the end was overcome by his ailing body on Monday, January 18th at the age of 56. Predeceased by his mother Bernice "Bert" and sister Cheryl. Survived by his father Ian "Nick" and step-mother Alicia; brothers Tim (Lorraine), Neil (Paula), and Casey (Krissie). He was the much loved uncle of Kyle, Keara, Keanna, Kerissa and Josephine, and will be missed by his many cousins and his many friends. Dean was an employee of the St. Lawrence Seaway for 30 years. He will be missed for his quick wit, tales of his travels to exotic places and attending sporting events and various concerts. The family extends sincere thanks to the CCAC caregivers. Dino's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, January 24th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 25th at 11:30am in the funeral home chapel. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
