HUIBERS, Joseph “Joe”
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph “Joe” on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband to Eleonore of 29 years and the late Joanne (1987). Loving Dad to Ron (Jenny), Larry (Ann), Yvonne (the late Ron) and Greg. Cherished Opa to Jordan (Jessica), Scott, Britta, Jenna, Darren (Amy), Kevin (Jacqueline), Bradley and Rhiana, Great Opa to Alana and Kane. Brother to the late Bill (the late Nel), Chris (Margaret), Anita (Cees), Mary (the late John), Albert (Hélène), Willibrodus, Frank (Lia), the late Alfons (Darlene) and Barb (Chuck). He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Woodland and the compassionate care of the staff at the United Mennonite Home. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Julia Church, 251 Glenridge Ave., St. Catharines on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow mass and a private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the United Mennonite Home Vineland.
