I was just thinking of Diane the other day and looked her up so I could say “thank you” for the time she put in with me as a teenager. I am so heart broken to find out she has left us.
I was a very troubled girl when she took me in. Despite that, she took me back numerous times.
Diane was a wonderful lady who was always real and said what was on her mind. She was one of the few adults who supported my love of music, even when it meant enduring Metallica in the living room. She shared her music with me and I remember her introducing me to Edith Piaf by singing with her karaoke machine. I have fond memories of Blockbuster nights and Swiss Chalet.
I’m saddened that I can’t tell her in person how much I appreciate that year I spent, on and off, in her home. Hopefully she just knows. Thank you Diane. You were already an angel. Now you’ve got your wings.

Dearest Momma you were my greatest hello and my saddest goodbye I love you and I'll always cherish our time we had together.... A million times I've needed you. A million times I've cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place no one else can ever fill. It broke my heart to lose you but you didnt go alone. Part of me went with you the day god took you home.. love you forever and always your little red head xoxoxox sher

My sincere condolences to Debbie, Gary, Laurie, and step children as well. And Diane's brothers: Robert, Billy and Johnny. And all the many people whose lives she touched.
I have many fond memories of Diane when I used to live with them in Brossard.
Cherish all the wonderful memories and take as much time grieve as needed.
You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
