When Ron and I lived on Butler Cres.,we always knew when Jack got up
in the morning, you could hear him Whistling as he went out to get his newspaper. A very happy Whistle!
We had lots of visiting on the front lawns trying to solve all the business and world problems.
There were lots of fun times at the Gray Cup Parties held by Jack and June and the family.
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to all the family

Dear Johnson Family,
I was saddened to hear of your Dad's death when Gregory told me about it. Jsack was definitely one of a kind and truly was a good man for our community. I am sure he is now very happy being in the arms of his sweetheart June. Jack would always shake my hand at church after going to communion when he was able to attend.
I am so sorry that again I am missing being with you as I am giving a presentation out of town. I shall call you when I get back.
Make everyting tomorrow slow down for you in order to absorb all of it. All of you are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
George

Dear Jill, Jayna, Jimmy & Families,
It has been many years since I "hung out" at your house on South Drive with Jill....however on several occasions I ran into Jack & June and I was amazed how they never seemed to age. I have many fond memories of those years gone by. What touched me most about Jack was although he seemed gruff he had a heart of "Gold". He would come every Christmas to see me at Community Care and give us a very generous donation. We were always so touched. I am thinking of you at this sad time...but take solace in the fact that "Jack & June" have reunited! May you find some comfort in your fondest memories...
Sincerely,
Sue Carroll

Jill, Jayna and Jimmy,
My memories of Jack and June are vivid and more numerous than you can imagine. Though I moved away I was fortunate enough to meet up with Jack several times on my own. Jack always engaged in conversation and was genuinely concerned and interested in what I was doing and how my family growing. Pam was fortunate enough to meet Jack and her and my kids have heard many stories from me about Jack, and yes, in particular, my encounters with Jack at the Roller Rink. I can only hope that I can touch as many people as your dad did in his short time. Jack was always the life of the party,
(regardless of his sometimes peculiar methods)and always fun and colorful. I will not mourn his passing but embrace the living memorialized in his loving family and legacy he left behind. He has every right to be proud of his children and grand children that he and June worked so hard for. Are thoughts and prayers are with all of you during these difficult times. Love from the Southern Feet!

My thoughts go out to the Johnson family at this difficult time.
As a business owner who has known Jack for over fifteen years, I am certain that his legacy will carry on with his children. Not only was he boisterous, but he was also warm-hearted, I will also miss his edgy sense of humour. It was a joy getting to know Jack.
