Obituary of Joseph Davidek

DAVIDEK, Joseph - Passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the St Catharines Hospital at the age of 98. Beloved husband of the late Joan. Cherished father of Tricia (Andrew) Mancuso of B.C. and Christine (Brian) Thorne of St. Catharines. Loving Grandad of Peter, Cheri and Vanessa (Tracy) Moors of CT. Great Grandad of Kamryn and Emersyn. Beloved uncle of Barbara, Doreen, Mary, Christopher and Gregory and all of their families. He will be sadly missed by his dog, LeeAnne. Joseph was a veteran of WWII, serving in the RAF and the Polish Squadrons. He was a longtime employee of General Motors. Joseph was an avid wood worker, creating the most beautiful dollhouses and furniture. He also loved to paint and make stained glass. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, July 26th from 10a.m.-12p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 12p.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel. A family inurnment will take place at St. John Cemetery in Port Dalhousie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Canadian War Plane Museum or the Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
